Hi! My name is Krista Mohrmann, and I've been passionate about mommies and babies since I was a little girl playing with my dolls. When I grew up I discovered that I wanted to help them both in a real and meaningful way. I did research on pregnancy, birth practices, breastfeeding, the role of nutrition, labor and delivery stories ... and I thought my way of helping would be through becoming a nurse midwife. However, my path to become a doula became crystal clear when I needed to stop my nursing training to become a mommy, and I am so very happy I did!
I grew up in both California and Washington state, and have lived in many places across the country, both east and west coasts. I've always called myself a "bit of a gypsy" because of my moving, but when I married I knew we would be settling down and calling Charlotte home. I've lived in the greater Charlotte area now for 4 years and I love it.
I love the people, I love the culture, I love the weather.
The births and postpartum families I have assisted have taught me so much hands-on, and CAPPA helped teach me the skills and book knowledge a doula needs. I would love to put that experience to use and help you bring your little one into this world, and help you be confident in being a parent to this new life.
